Friday was Juliana's first day of school and she was SO excited. The night before she could not sleep and was up at 5:30 in the morning ready to go. Well, it was our last weekend at the house just the 2 of us. Thursday went great getting the Visas. Everyone was so nice and they loved looking at the kids pics! We also had "The phone call" with Julie. The phone call consist of going over everything from what to expect with the kids and the process to gift giving and money. It was so helpful and encouraging and really put my mind at ease!

Well, my wonderful husband surprised me with a last minute trip to New York this weekend for our 6 yr annivesary! He had a meeting for work and deceided it would be fun to have our last excursion just the 2 of us before kids. It was so much fun! We can't wait to start our next adventure in life with our 3 beautiful kids, but we sure are going to miss all the time we have had just the 2 of us.

I finally have a chance to update you guys. Julie called today and said that we don't have the official assignment yet. They had a meeting yesterday before the office closed for Holy week and she is hoping that they made the assignment then, but we won't know until the end of next week. We are going crazy waiting. So after 3 long, frustrating weeks, they finally returned our paperwork back to Bogota!!! What a relief! Sorry we haven't said much lately, but we have been a little scared of why they didn't want to send our stuff back to Bogota and then they needed proof that we requested these children and it has been a struggle to get them to cooperate. So, it is finally there and with the kids information!

Well we got things rolling today. I talked with our agency 3 times, made copies of our CIS aproval, birth certificates and marriage license, typed 2 letters, sent one by fax, went to the post office and sent our request for another fingerprint appointment and went to the doctors to pick up another medical letter, among other errands. I have been busy, but it feels sooooo good to be doing things

Today has just been a great day! God is so good. We went to a travel class on Saturday from our agency and it renewed our excitement. We can't wait to hear about our kids. Apparently the region of Boyaca likes us and has continued to hold on to our paperwork for over 3 months now. They have 3 kids, in the age range we requested, and are still waiting on the abandonment decree. Hopefully now

Well, we have been praying this week that we would have some kind of information about what is going on and today our agency called with and update! The region of Boyaca still has our paperwork and they have a group of kids in mind for us, but are waiting for the abandonment decree.
