Gottcha Day!

Wow! It has been a year today since we got the kids. What a wonderful journey this has been. The kids are doing so much better then we ever expected and we have been so blessed. Juliana and Jim and I just got back yesterday from a mission trip to Guatemala. We had an amazing time working at an orphanage of about 400 kids. One of the days we went out to a village where 12 people prayed to accept Jesus as their Savior. There were 19 of us and there was not a dry eye as we left to come home. God is doing an amazing work in all our lives. John and Jaysa stayed back with my parents and they had a great time. I am sorry I don't have any pics to share at this moment if there is even anyone out there that still looks at this blog. :)
We were going to do something fun today to celebrate, but I am sick, Juliana had to stay home due to having pink eye and Jim came home early as he is sick too. So hopefully this weekend we will all be feeling better so we can have some fun to celebrate this incredible day!!!

I still read your blog :) My blog lets me know whenever you update! It's great to hear from you guys. I'm glad everyone is doing so well. It's hard to believe that this time last year we were checking in daily to see how things were going and to see when you would get to come home! May Jesus continue to bless each of you in the years ahead! The best is yet to come!

WOW! Has it been that long already? What a fun year!

I didn't know you guys were going to Guat. Did you go to Fern's orphanage? How cool would that be!

Post some pictures when you get a chance. I bet I won't even recognize Jaysa! Hope to see you soon!

Wow--time has flown and I know you must be so proud of the kids and how well they have done. What an incredible opportunity for you, Jim and Juliana to experience, and I'm sure you saw everything through very different eyes. Congratulations on your family day. I swear it feels like not too long ago that I was following your blog religiously and writing down all of your recommendations for when we made it to Bogota. I'm so happy for your family. What a perfect fit!

Hi Jaime,
I still check in now and then. We are also doing good. That is amazing that you went to Guatemala. I have a nephew who was adopted from Guatemala in 2007. I posted some updates also on our blog with pictures. We have been busy with school and we have decided to move to a new area for a better school district. Glad to hear you are doing good. Will check back again.

I'm still checking up on you guys!! :) Wow, I can't believe its already been a year. We still talk about you often and wonder how everything is going. Dana leaves in a couple weeks and I keep telling Megan I'm going to ship her away for the summer too. She said, "Only if its to stay with Jim and Jaime". We miss you but happy to see things are going well.
Hugs, Susan
