Another great day

What a day. They just keep getting better! Life with 3 kids is really fun. Last night we began a new part of parenting. Leidy had been acting up at dinner and then she wouldn't eat, so Jim took her back to the room and put her to bed. It was amazing what that did. When it was time for bed later, she told mami and papi that she was sorry and clung onto us until we tucked her in. Poor thing. We felt soooo bad but we know it's time to set some ground rules. Today has been wonderful. We all still have the sniffles but really nothing serious at all. We had a great morning playing and relaxing. The B&B had a spa day and Leidy got her hair done. She is such a princess. We went to Frisbees again for lunch so the kids could play in the play area. It is great having a few moments to talk with Jim without the kids crawling all over us. Jim planned out the afernoon. We all crawled into a cab and went for a bit of a tour around the really nice area of Bogota. We then drove thru the University and to this park. This park was huge! It must have been at least 15 miles long! It was one play set after another. The kids went crazy. There was a sand lot that they just plopped down in and started to bury themselves. I guess tomorrow is laundry day! We walked around a lake and then hung out with a bunch of crazy ducks. After 4 hours of going from play set to play set, we headed back home for dinner. Jhon and Leidy spent some time in the shower trying to get the sand off them as I'm sure the cab driver is spending the night cleaning his car out. Leidy also lost a tooth today so she is expecting the tooth fairy to leave her a little present tonight. She is really excited about that! Anyway, all is great! I hope this video posts. Have a great night!

What a sweet spirit Leidy has, I can tell. You two are very lucky she is responding to discipline with such a softness and attachment to you. Let's continue to pray they receive correction so well!

Love the tooth too!

Adult conversation...such a wonderful thing! Make it a priority - everyone needs a break every once in a while! I am so ready to meet these kids in person :)! I'm thinking we should meet up at Chuck E. Cheese!

I love the way you guys just take a day at a time. Such a great thing to do as a parent and it seems it's working perfectly for you. You said you went to a University. . . is it Bogota University? Continue to enjoy the beautiful pics you take of the family! Your children are gorgeous!

Well, this is what it is all about. Jim, from one father to another, it just doesn't get any better than when your child comes to you and thanks you or tells you that they'er sorry after you have had to correct them - They know why you did what you did - YOU LOVE THEM. We know how good of a daddy you will be by having observed how great of a job that your dad did with raising you. Welcome to the "GREAT DADDY" club.
Jaime, you were made to be a mommy. You're already doing a wonderful job and will continue to do so.
We are proud of you both and so excited for what God has in store for your future with these three incredible kids.

Love to all,

Mom and Dad

So encouraged by your daily reports! I'm thankful for the time you have to bond with them in their own country. The pics look amazing...but not as amazing as your new family! We are praying for you! Love, Margaret & Doug

I would like to give some parenting advice: kids love to be tricked. I remember the one time I took my nephew to a burned down barn "oh no," I said "Disney World has burnt down!" He cried and cried, but deep down inside he thought it was a pretty good joke. I was then gonna take him to the real Disney World, but it was getting late...
Give it a shot, see what happens.

I'm glad you changed Jhon's name to John and named him after me. :) We're praying for you guys through this transition and will ask for patience for you as you wait for the paper work. Children are such a blessing!

So glad you changed Jhon's name to my name. :) We're thrilled that things are going well. We know you will be great parents. We're praying that God will give you patience and understanding as you wait . . .and wait. . .and wait for the legal process to happen. By the way . . . the reason why we don't have resturants where we make our own food up here is because we have different health regulations. Its great to see the adjustment happening so well!

Blessings!
