Arrived and Anxious

We arrived no problem last night and met our driver,Andres to our lodging. We were very glad to hit the hay around midnight though... Today we met most of the people in our bed and breakfast and the Hollis and Calderaros who are with our same agency and I have communicated with over the internet for a bit now. We all went for a 4 mile walk to and from a flee market and had lunch at a great hamburger place. It was very nice and I got a couple little things. The weather was very nice, a little warmer then we expected as we both look like we spent a few hours at the beach.

There are quite a few other adoptive families here from the US, Canada and France. Very multicultural experience. Jim was able to communicate to the people from France a little so we had fun with that. Others are from California, Ohio, Virginia, Minnesota, and Manitoba.

Tommorrow is the big day. There are so many things going thru our minds but the best way to describe it is, like we need to throw up. I know that's a little crude, but I am sure those of you who have done this know the feeling. People here are so excited for us and I know that will be a great support for the first few weeks.

Anyway, I am going to put some soothing music on and Jim and I are going to get on our knees for awhile tonight for the last time as a family of 2. Will you please join us as we thank our God for all that He has blessed us with? If some of you can, we would love for you to comment some prayers and thoughts to this post. We will share them with our kids tomorrow!

We will post our pictures of the kids in our arms as soon as we can, but it will probably be late tomorrow night. Love ya lots

YEA!!!! So glad you made it safe & sound & found Andres. I can't wait to see pictures and hear how everything goes tomorrow.
I'm SO excited for you guys!! Your kids are going to bed tonight for the last time without their Mami & Papi kissing them good-night. I know they are thinking of you & excited to meet you as well....
Tomorrow will be surreal - everything goes so fast & it will take time to look back & process, but then everything will settle down & you'll feel like the family you are and always will be :-)

God, I pray that your peace would be upon Jim and Jaime tonight, that in you they would have rest. And as you do that for them, be with Leidy, Jhon, and Yurley and give them peace as well. Calm all the anxiousness and bless them abundantly tomorrow. I pray the children would not be afraid, but that you would work in their hearts to accept their new mami and papi. Strengthen Jim and Jaime in this time, give them supernatural parenting ability, and just pour your blessing upon them. Hold all five of them in your mighty right hand. As they go through this amazing family transformation guide them with the skillfulness of your hand. We know this is just the beginning of a great thing! We praise you for it, and trust you for good things! I pray there'd be no puking, unless it would really help :) In Jesus name, Amen!

You'll be in my prayers tomorrow too! I'm just imagining the huge change between tonight and tomorrow night... I really hope you can sleep peacefully tonight.

God bless!

SO EXCITED for you guys!

Lord, we thank You for this day for Jim and Jaime. You know how long they have waited and thank You for giving them the patience to wait on Your timing. We ask that You will allow all of the appointments over the next few days to line up and go smoothly. We pray for safety and health as they are there. We lift Jim and Jaime up to you tonight. We ask You to give them rest, peace, and strength in the days and weeks to come. We ask You to prepare the hearts of the sweet little children that You have blessed Jim & Jaime with. Give those children peace and comfort. We ask You to give Jim and Jaime the words when they need to communicate with the kids and give them the right words to soothe and comfort them.
Thank You so much for the gift of adoption.

Oh Father, what fun you have stored up for Jim and Jaime and Leidy, Jhon, and Yurley in their union. I beg you for tender mercies when they all lay their eyes on each other for the first time tomorrow. Please allow bonding, and joy, and peace to take over for the children so these first honeymoon weeks together with their new mami and papi are filled with smiles, and hugs, and special get-to-know-and- love you moments! Father, you are good and you are faithful, so I pray for direct manifestations of that in very tangible ways tomorrow. Hooray for the new Boyachek clan! Thank you Lord!!!

So, so excited for you guys!

Oh yeah, also...I had that same throw up feeling you mentioned, except Noah was not exactly born yet...so I really felt it when I met his birthmother for the first time the day she was being induced. What to say, what to do? I know what you mean! Hang in there... :)

Heavenly Father, I thank you so much for the gift of prayer...for allowing all of us to pray for Jim & Jaime right now. As they pray together tonight, Lord, help them to feel your presence in an amazing way. May they find a peace that is only found in you. Despite the nerves, help them to rest tonight so that they will be refreshed tomorrow as they step into their new role as parents. Thank you for children, Lord, thank you for entrusting them to us. May we always stay humble before you and realize that we can't do it without you. Praise you God, Praise you for these 3 beautiful children who will be placed into such a loving and Godly home. Praise you!

I am sitting here with tears in my eyes as I read your post. I prayed a lot yesterday for safe travel for you two, and thank you Lord for answering that prayer! I am overwhelmed with joy for you two, because you deserve this more than anyone I know! You have been so faithful to the Lord and now He is (as always) returning His faithfulness!!! I can't even imagine what it will feel like for you to actually hold and hug your kids tomorrow!! My heart wants to burst thinking about it! I will be praying for the most wonderful of days tomorrow! Sending my love to you two and your gorgeous kids!

It so surreal and the process is just overwhelming! We will be praying for you guys tonight...I know you have to be so excited and how can you even sleep when they are that close? Tomorrow will be here before you know it!

I can't wait to hear more details! Congrats again...and how awesome to begin your family...on your knees! Wow! What a testimony of you, your marriage, and your family...birthed in prayer...awesome!

God, I thank you and praise you...for being you, and for knitting this family together...I thank you for ordaining such. Thank you for giving Jim and Jaime the heart to take on adoption and to share their love and all that you have blessed them with --with these children. I pray continued blessing and provision over them while they are in Colombia and when they return.

Father, change isn't always easy...please comfort the children and the parents as they adjust and let it be a joyous thing, an easy thing....let their be a smooth transition...

Speak to the heart of those children...give them peace. Let Leidy know that her Mami loves her...and has dreamed of her...and has plans to help her and to prosper her...good things and not bad things...(of course, her Papi, too!) Show Leidy how to be a help with the smaller ones...let their be an instant bond between her, her Papi, and her Mami. Father, I thank you for Leidy. Please remind her that she was chosen and not forsaken...she is YOUR Princess!

I pray for Jhon and Yurley...they are so small and things around them seem so confusing...so much stimuli...I pray that in this time they don't get lost in it...I pray against fear...I pray they understand who their parents are and they love them more than they could imagine...I pray for a strong connection with them...with all of them...

I pray for a smooth adoption experience and the government move swiftly. I pray the Boyacheks get to experience the Colombian culture and connect with their children...and not only bring back those children, but bring back a heart for God's people in Colombia. Father, we pray blessings on those who help facilitate this process. We pray you give Jim and Jaime favor with the right people at the right time. Protect and guard them. Thank you for all that you've done and promise to do concerning this adoption! In Jesus' name! Amen!

Can't wait for details! And Pictures, of course! Congrats, Mami y Papi!

Congratulations and best of luck today. You packed amazingly light I think. LOL!

The best news about the pipe is that it happened before you left. As someone who has come home from an out of town trip to find water throughout their basement...I can appreciate the good that comes from someone being home when it happens!

I have been earnestly praying that everything went smoothly today. I know that God will give you each the strength you need thru this process and I pray he blesses your family with peace and happiness.

I am anxious to see the pictures and can't wait to meet your children! By the way Hannah is already planning a play date filled with lemonade, slip and slides and water guns. Could be dangerously funny.

Blog Soon!

Hi, this is Jan from The Brook (minister of worship) - maybe you remember me. I've been following your journey via Alison's blog. Here is my prayer for you all:

Heavenly Father, as children that have been adopted into YOUR Kingdom, I pray that you will give Jim and Jaime a special peace and joy as they come to this incredibly significant moment in their lives. We know you understand because you chose us and you love us beyond all comprehension! I pray for all of their hearts to be bonded together very quickly and supernaturally. We thank you for this physical picture of your own love for us and for the beauty of how you choose to do things in our lives. We pray for an outpouring of grace and energy and discernment and wisdom on this family!

In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Your lives are changing in such a remarkable way now! Keep your faith in the Father above and He will lead your path. Praying for your family to unite with so many of God's blessings showing through.

Your feelings, as you described them, so accurately brought back those emotions and feelings I felt as time approached just before the big day. We were in the lowlands of Colombia (luckily) but yet I remember breathing with such intensity and loudness -- almost hyperventilating and fainting at times. Guess that was the labor part of it and 3 at once was bound to cause some kind of stir.

Hope all goes well as you make wonderful memories today!

Love, Genece
