The race is on...

Well, we received a packet in the mail today with all the original paperwork for the kids and got a little surprise with it. A few more pictures of our precious little ones!! We are just counting down the days until we are united with our kids!! We want to say thank you to everyone who called and sent us emails today! We really appreciate the encouragement and support and are overwhelmed by your love. Thank you!
So the race is on the get all the paperwork in order. I got the Visa and FBI prints notarized today and sent a few checks to CHI. Tomorrow I am off to Montgomery (4hr drive) to get some paperwork apostilled and then onto Atlanta (another 3hr drive) where I will stay the night with my dear friend Kate and her husband. Then Thursday morning I have an appointment with the Colombian Consulate to get our visas.
Please pray that everything goes smoothly! We leave in 11 days!! WoooHooo!

So where in AL are you guys? I am also in Atlanta. Get to the consulate first thing and it won't take you any time. We will have to get together when you get back with the kids. Also I can tell you a couple of Colombian restaurants and International Farmers Markets that sell Colombian foods here in Atlanta. Since your kids are a little older might be good for when they are homesick!

So excited! Can't wait to see those kiddos. Would love to see you before you go, but if we don't, know we are praying for you guys and for the kids. I hope that bonding will happen very quickly and that it is everything you dreamed of!!!
Love you!

Time is going to fly by!

Father, I pray that as Jim and Jaime complete the paperwork needed for the adoption that you give them peace and wisdom. I pray that you put them in line with people that will guide and support them. I pray that Jaime will find favor with people she comes into contact with and not only get all of the needed documents apostilled, signed or whatever--but also that she raise the banner of adoption by lifting up your name! Thank you for these beautiful children that you have set aside just for Jim and Jaime! Thank you for what you are going to do in their lives. Thank you for allowing us to be part of this moment...as our sister and brother rejoice, we rejoice...You are a good God...and this is the fruit of their prayers..thank you, Father!

Jaime, you are going to be an awesome mom! And Jim will rock as a Papi! The children are beautiful. I will continue to pray for a smooth transition as each individual of this new family are about to undergo some major changes...this is a good thing! YOu guys are awesome!!!

Buckle Up! (as our kiddos say) and get ready for the ride of your life. This is going to be so amazing for you. Our children get excited when we tell them that there are other Colombian children coming to the US to live with their Mamis and Papis. Of course they think that they are all moving in next door, but their excitement is genuine just the same. Your children are gorgeous and will show you a whole new way to look at the world. Peace and Blessings as you journey to meet your children.
